The great list of topics for our Huntsville ESOP Advisor Roundtable continues with our next event of 2022, Using ESOPs in Estate & Charitable Planning, which will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse downtown. We plan to limit attendance to 15-20 ESOP practitioners. The agenda is as follows:

Our panelists will be Kelly Finnell, President and CEO of Executive Financial Services, Mark Fournier, Director at Stout, and John Bunge, Partner at Waller in Nashville. This interactive discussion will address how an ESOP can become part of a business owner’s financial plan and will address various estate, gift, and charitable planning techniques using an ESOP
John Bunge
John Bunge helps clients navigate the complex confluence of tax planning, business succession planning, and estate planning, and seeks to find the most elegant solutions possible to reach their goals. John's wealth preservation experience includes gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax minimization, through the use of irrevocable trusts, sales and gifts to trusts, charitable-interest trusts, and grantor-retained annuity trusts, among other sophisticated wealth planning strategies. John also advises families on the formation of investment entities, such as family limited partnerships and family LLCs.
Mark Fournier
Mark Fournier is a Managing Director in the Valuation Advisory group. His concentration is in ESOP and ERISA advisory services. Mark has over 25 years of experience with Employee Stock Ownership Plans including ESOP security formation; transaction analysis; determination of transaction fairness and adequate consideration; and annual valuation updates. Mark has lectured and presented at numerous professional conferences and seminars on a variety of ESOP related topics, involving valuation, ESOP transaction structures, and repurchase liability. He has also authored several articles related to the valuation of privately-held companies and other ESOP related topics.
Kelly Finnell
Kelly Finnell is one of the nation's premier ESOP consultants and one of the most sought after speakers on this subject. He has spoken at more than 300 conferences and meetings throughout the U.S. and London and Sydney. He has published 14 articles on the use of ESOPs in ownership succession planning and is the author of of one of the most highly-acclaimed books on the subject, The ESOP Coach: Using ESOPs in Ownership Succession Planning.
